Gyuri Lajos
Greetings. Learned a lot over the past 3 weeks or so.
13:32
13:33
13:37
Both of these helped to do a thorough design review, and helped a lot. Would like to discuss this in relation to NAO, Greencheck and IndyNet. with special reference to the need for No Signon
13:39
Solid 3 years ago was running with the idea of a single global logon system, as you may be aware, but just like creating a gravatar to use everywhere it did not catch on derspite its obvious appeal, I joined ages ago of course. I think we need zero friction for all these thigs that may just work
13:40
13:41
When I read that 2 years ago I was thinking, can we do without any ever?
13:43
This is my latest attempt at formulating what I am trying to achieve perma-an-note // inspired to write

Complete the Web with

commons based
peer bootstrapped
constellations for
Evergreen
eventually global, nay interplanetary
Networked interpersonal Social Media
around which
interest/mission focused social networks can grow
connecting creators with their audiences, problemns with solutions, directly
weaving the Autonomous Open Mutual (l)earning Commons as a co-evolving engine for cultural co-evolution
13:46
very much inspired by this and https://medium.com/@npfoss/so-you-want-to-leave-facebook-1ab3603f164a Gravity especially the discussion about scaling decentralized social networks
13:46
13:53
13:57
I did not realize until I've read the paper on decentralized social networks that I my focus was always on autonomous social media that would be merged with interpersonal social networks
14:04
Back to the code face, which is still mainly specification. Not surprising because I move from emergency retro-refactoring to forward-factoring, deep refactoring, changing the names and structure in the light of the experiments and seeing it all in (inter)action
14:07
not done when it works done when it is right
make it work then make it right

I should have sent you this, but it really requires an update. The annotations I am adding help me to gather the associative complexes that needs to be brought to mind as I work on a new updated synthesis

I'll be continuing annotating with current thinking this 3 years old program piece and summary of vision and intent https://via.hypothes.is/http://futuretextpublishing.com/download/Future_of_Text_Book_2020.pdf

Hypothesis and its integration into IndyWeb is a real superpower

I've used Memex for a year, and I lost data, because I was not using it regularly at the time when the notifications came that localstorage wil lbe wiped out in an upcomming Chrome update.
21:38
Still I have my highest regard for the Memex people and if you haven';t come across with this, it is well worth watching https://twitter.com/MindDriveCo/status/1658003931140702214

This is the original lending page for TrailMarks from 7 years ago https://trailmarks.co/

I even wrote my own chrome extension to do annotation and trailgraphing before trailmarks was conceived.
22:05
22:06
Looked nice, even exciting, but what was missing is the ability to create augmented authoring for the annotations, hence trailmarks
22:10
22:13
Even had a proto trailmarks notation driven project planner tracker in app widget that I used as part of Opidox project comprehension suite of capabilities
22:15
22:16
Back in the day I used prototrailmark notation in Google Docs and extracted mindgraph from there. Now I have my own little vanilla HTML editor to do that. Haven't used Google Docs for 4 years, never looked back
